1,1,1,3,5,5,5-Heptamethyltrisiloxane (Bis(trimethylsiloxy)methylsilane). Used as a surfactant or as an additive for pesticides or paints. Can also be used as a raw material in silicone material.

1,1,3,3-Tetramethydisiloxane (TMDS, TMDSO). Used as a silicone intermediate in end-capped polysiloxanes, high performance silicone surfactants, liquid silicone rubbers, modified silicone oils, plastics and resins.

  • Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition of glass
  • Reductive halogenation of aldehydes and epoxides

1H,1H,2H,2H-perfluorodecyltrimethoxysilane. Is a fluorinated alkylsilane that has a low reflective index, improves anti-sticking, and reactivity.

  • Raw material in coatings

2-(3,4-Epoxycyclohexyl)-ethyltrimethoxysilane. Used as an adhesion promoter for organic/inorganic material, or as a crosslinking agent. As a coupling agent it improves the mechanical and electrical property resistance to heat and moisture.

  • Improve dry and wet strength in composites
  • Enhance wet electrical properties in epoxy-based materials
  • Improve adhesion in waterborne acrylic sealants and epoxy coatings

3-acryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane. Organic functional coupling agent used as an adhesion promoter and reinforcing agent. Used in fiber-optic coatings, acrylic coatings, artificial marble, adhesives, sealants, and thermoplastics.

Bis[(3-trimethoxysilyl)propyl]amine. Used as an adhesion promoter between inorganic and organic polymers. Improves temperature, corrosive and humidity resistance along with an increased flexural strength, tensile, strength and impact strength. Can be used to improve processing properties such as adhesion and higher filler loading.

  • Additive in Foundry resins
  • Additive to binders in mineral fiber insulating materials and abrasives

Bromotrimethylsilane, (Trimethylbromosilane, Trimethylsilylbromide). Used as a blocking agent in pharmaceutical manufacturing. Can be used to selectively protect or de-protect functional groups.

Decamethylcyclopentasiloxane (D5). Used as a base for many personal products because of its improving of spreading and lubrication properties. Can also be used as an intermediate for organic silicon production or as a monomer for silicone polymer production.

Diphenyldiethoxysilane. Used as a thermal stabilizer, and as an intermediate in producing other silanes. Can be used as a cross coupling agent for phenyl groups.

Diphenyldihydroxysilane.

Diphenyldimethoxysilane.

  • Base material for phenyl silicone oil
  • Improve thermal stability of other silanes
  • Hydrophobic additive for other silanes

Fatty acid modified polyester silane. Can be used as raw materials in inks and coatings for increased lubricity during post cure processing. Very efficient at increasing rub and abrasion resistance, improving pigment wetting and flow.

Gamma-Aminopropyltriethoxysilane. Used as a coupling agent. Reacts with a wide array of thermoset, thermoplastic and elastomeric materials. Applied in plastic products, rubber products, adhesives, coatings, pigment dispersions, inks, magnetic materials, metallic casting resins and resins concrete.

  • Maximizes physical and electrical properties
  • Improves adhesion, mechanical strength, and weather resistance for magnetic material
  • Improves pigment dispersion
  • Improves moisture resistance in glass fiber and wool insolation

Gamma-Aminopropyltrimethoxysilane. An amino-functional silane that improves bonding between substrate, filler, reinforcements, and resins that react with the amino group. It can improve reinforced plastics’ physical and electrical properties. Can also be used to improve dispersion and wet ability of filler in high molecular materials. Improves wet resistance and mechanical performance in phenol resins.

Gamma-Glycidoxypropyltriethoxysilane. Used as an adhesion promoter for organic/inorganic interfaces or as a crosslinking agent. When used as a coupling agent it increased electrical and mechanical property resistance to heat or moisture.

  • Improve adhesion in waterborne acrylic sealants and epoxy coatings.

 

Gamma-Glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane. Is an epoxy functional silane that is used as a coupling agent in caulks, sealants, thermosets and thermoplastics. Usually used as an adhesion promoting additive in waterborne systems.

  • Improve dry and wet strength in composites
  • Enhance wet electrical properties of epoxy-based materials
  • Improve adhesion in waterborne sealants and coatings

Gamma-Mercaptopropylmethyldimethoxysilane. Used as a coupling agent to improve adhesion of sulfur cured elastomers to inorganic fillers, fiberglass, and surfaces.

  • Improve tensile and tear strength, abrasion resistance, and cure time in mineral filled elastomer
  • Improve low-rolling resistance in tire tread compounds

Gamma-Mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane.

  • Coupling agent to improve adhesion of elastomers to inorganic fillers, fiberglass and other surfaces
  • Improved tensile and tear strength, abrasion resistance and cure time in mineral filled elastomer.
  • Improve low-rolling resistance in tire tread compounds

Gamma-Methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane. Used as adhesion promoter at organic/inorganic interfaces or crosslinking of polymers. It is also used as a coupling agent to improve physical and electrical properties of thermosetting resins. Can be used as a curing blend additive in resin systems.

  • Improve strength for glass fiber composites
  • Enhance initial wet strength of polyester resin composites
  • Enhance wet electrical properties of composites
  • Improve adhesion and durability in adhesives and coatings.

Hexadecyltriethoxysilane. Can be paired with polymers to create unique filler properties in mineral fillers. Can be used in polyolefin production, or as a scorch retardant in moisture cross-linked wire and cable compounds.

Hexadecyltrimethoxysilane. Can be used as a water repellent, in polyolefin production, or as a scorch retardant in moisture cross-linked wire and cable compounds. The long-chain alkyl functionality also results in unique filler properties.

Hexamethyldisiloxane (HMDO, HMDS). End-capping agent in the production of silicone fluids. Can also be used in personal care products.

N-beta-(aminoethyl)-gamma-aminopropyl-methyldimethoxysilane. Diamino-functional silane that acts as an adhesive and flexible interface between polymers and the substrate. Also promotes adhesion between glass, metal, fillers, and resins.

  • Improve flexural strength of sand-resin composites
  • Maintain shelf life of resins
  • Additive for latex coatings, adhesives, and sealants

I-Octyltriethoxysilane. Used as a hydrophobic component in construction materials like concrete to increase durability. It can also be used in the production of silane crosslinking formations.

I-Octyltrimethoxysilane. Can be used in the formulation of water repellent products and can be used to speed the formation of hydrophobic surface of an alkaline environment.

  • Create a hydrophobic surface

Methylhydrogen fluid, Methyl hydrogen silicone fluid. Used as a chemical intermediate in industrial coatings, textiles, rubbers, and construction applications. Increases durability and weather resistance through its hydrophobic properties.

  • Water resistance
  • Crosslinker for silicone rubber elastomers
  • Fabric treatment
  • Lubricant for oil based cosmetics

Methyltriethoxysilane. Used as a very compatible additive with organic solvents such as hydrocarbons, alcohol, and acetone. Can be used to improve filler dispersibility or as a component in sol-gel coatings, silicone resins, or silicone rubber.

Methyltrimethoxysilane. Can be used as the hydrolyzing component in sol-gel systems.

  • Hydrophobic treatment for fillers
  • Production component for silicone resins

Methyltris(methylethylketoximino)silane. Used as a neutral curing agent in silicone sealant formulations.

  • Crosslinker for oxime silicone sealants

Non-ionic silane / Siloxane emulsion. Used as a waterproofing agent for brick, wood, concrete, and road surfaces. Utilizes a breathable seal that allows for moisture to exit the coating without allowing moisture into the material.

N-beta-(aminoethyl)-gamma-aminopropyl-trimethoxysilane. Used as an adhesion promoter at organic/inorganic interfaces, corrosion prevention, or crosslinking agent of polymers. Coupling agent application leads to improved mechanical and electrical properties when exposed to heat or moisture.

  • Improve physical and dynamic properties for rubber
  • Increase flexural and tensile strength in thermoplastic composite
  • Glass or metal primer
  • Adhesion promoter in epoxy adhesives and sealants

N-Octyltriethoxysilane. Used as a hydrophobing agent for treating inorganic surfaces and allows for enhanced compatibility with most organic polymers.

  • Hydrophobic agent for concrete, glass, pigments, and mineral fillers
  • Water repellent component

Octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane. Volatile fluid used in cosmetics, industrial cleaning and carrier applications.

  • Improved drying time in hair spray
  • Spreading and lubrication properties for personal care products

Phenyltriethoxysilane (A donor). Increases they hydrophobicity and dispersibility of organic fillers in polymers. Can be used as a crosslinker in high-temperature silicone elastomers or as a stereo-regulator for Ziegler-Natta-catalysts.

Phenyltrimethoxysilane. Brings flexibility to sol-gel systems and acts as a hydrophobic surface modifier for inorganic fillers. It also reduces viscosity of polymer melts at elevated temperature.

Poly(dimethylsiloxane), Hydride terminated.

  • Raw material for end-reactive linear modified silicone
  • Textile water repellent
  • Crosslinker/Chain extender for addition cure liquid silicone rubber

Poly(dimethylsiloxane-co-methylhydrosiloxane), Trimethylsilyl terminated. Used to synthesize modified silicone fluid, waterproofing, or as a crosslinking agent for silicone rubber.

Tetraethoxysilane (TEOS), Tetraethyl orthosilicate, Ethyl Polysilicate 28#.

  • Binder for fillers and pigments
  • Base material for sol-gel process
  • Crosslink agent in sealing compositions
  • Drying agent for silicone sealant
  • Chemical intermediate

Silicone acrylate. Used as raw material for inks and coatings to improve slip, substrate wetting, coating flow and leveling.

Vinyl-terminated polydimethylsiloxane polymers. Used as a base polymer for addition curing and liquid silicone rubber (RTV-2, LSR). Can be used to enhance the hardness of High Vulcanization Silicone Rubber or as a key component of injection molding silicone rubber. Is also used for co-polymerization to increase weathering resistance and UV resistance.

Vinyltriethoxysilane. This is a vinyl-functional silane that improves the bond between resins and glass fibers or mineral fillers. Used as a co-monomer for polymers such as polyethylene or acrylics. Improves adhesion to inorganic surfaces and can be crosslinked with moisture within these polymers.

  • Preparation of moisture-curing polymers
  • Improves coating adhesion for glass, metals, and ceramics
  • Improves compatibility of fillers with polymers
  • Moisture scavenger for sealants

Vinyltrimethocysilane. Used as a polymer modifier via grafting reactions, and is also able to function as a moisture-activated crosslinking site. Can be used as a co-monomer for polymers such as polyethylene or acrylics. Improves adhesion to inorganic surfaces and can be crosslinked with moisture within these polymers.

  • Improves coating adhesion for glass, metals, and ceramics
  • Improves compatibility of fillers with polymers
  • Moisture scavenger for sealants

Water-dilutable potassium methyl siliconate solution. Used to impart water repellency to various stones and masonry materials. Used on natural stone surfaces such as sandstone, limestone, red brick, gray brick, granite and ceramics.
